Personalities:
Akio-
Akio is a very determined person, and despite his looks, he is actually very intelligent and clever. He has to be if he wants to survive due to his form. He is very untrusting of new people because there have been people who have taken advantage of his blindness. Due to this, he can come off as paranoid. At times, he is forgetful. He hasn't forgotten his brother, but he has forgotten the choker on his neck that allows him to speak several times.
Adwin-
Adwin is a passive person who is trying to be assertive for his brother's sake. He is very shy with new people and easily frightened even though he tries not to be. With his friends and family, he opens up and becomes a very talkative person. If you are not family or someone he's known for awhile, he won't get too personal with you. He is a hopeful person who has no other choice but to trust people more than Akio and more than he'd like. Like Akio, Adwin is intelligent, but most of his ideas he cannot act upon due to his condition.

History:
There was a time when it wasn't Adwin and Akio; it was only Adwin who spent his life more interested in academic life than a love life. He got made fun of for his height(even before he separated from Akio he was at most 5'7") most of the time when he was in school. After high school, he had plans of going to college online instead of trying to go to a traditional college because he wanted to avoid the same treatment that he received in his highschool years. However, his parents forced him to go to a college in a different state.

After about a month Adwin was warming up to the college atmosphere. He was just starting to like it when his parents informed him that they had ran into some financial troubles. His father had gambled away most of his college funds and because his parents where going to lose the house, they decided to use the rest to try to pay off debt. Adwin was horrified to hear this.

Shortly after this news, someone told Adwin about an experimental medical study that he could possibly enter to get the funds he needed to stay on his feet and continue to go to school. When he learned more about the procedure they wanted to test on him, he started to debate if this was actually a good idea or not. They wanted to separate him from his body to study how the brain would react to being separated from the body. Although he knew that it wouldn't kill him seeing they had tested it on animals and they had been successful in trials, he didn't want to carry around his head for two weeks. The amount of money they promised to pay was $400,000 seeing they had trouble finding a subject with a smaller price tag. Adwin's funds were running low and he knew he couldn't get a job in time to pay for necessary expenses. They had only had one person come in for the procedure: it was Adwin.

About a day after the procedure, Adwin started to lose feeling and control of his limbs when he was in the hospital for observation. The doctors decided to take blood tests from both him and his body, only to be horrified that Adwin's DNA didn't match up with his body's. Adwin and his body where fraternal twins that fused together in the womb, and they had separated Adwin's brother too soon.

Luckily, Adwin's brother had the sense of hearing when he became fully aware and was able to pick out a name: Akio. HOWEVER, Akio was blind and mute. They also had to create legal papers for him so that he would be recognized by the government as a person. They started teaching Akio how to echolocate, read braille, and sign language as soon as they could. Adwin proved himself to being useful to helping Akio by reading things that weren't in braille, relaying messages, and being able to eat for him.

Adwin's and Akio's parents however were disgusted to find out what Adwin had decided to do, so they cut off all ties with both Adwin and Akio. They wouldn't even recognize Akio as their son. Their parents, however, were not aware that they Adwin had received the money promised to him so cutting off ties with Adwin and Akio didn't effect them very much.

For the rest of their college life, Adwin and Akio lived with their friend Crystal whom they still live with today. The money that was left over from paying for college and other expenses was put into savings.

His eyes twitched as he felt something poking him between them. He opened his lids slowly to be greeted by the site of his brother hovering over him.
"Akio, what's wrong?" his voice was groggy as he spoke before looking around. "Where the hell are we?"
Akio shrugged his shoulders before his voice came from his choker. "I don't know, I was hoping you could tell me. All I can tell is that we're boxed in."
Adwin shifted his gaze to try to look around, seeing only one way out of the corner they were in. "Well, let's get out of this little room and see where we are."
